PIXAERO Lenses fly into space for scientific research Macro Shooting with GoPro
Dec 29, 2018
Feedback on the use of PIXAERO lenses for scientific and technical experiments in space.
Macro photography in space has become more accessible through the use of compact action cameras with PIXAERO lenses that can be focused from infinity to macro. Another feature of these lenses is that there is no minimum focusing distance; you can even focus the camera on the surface of the lens.
For shooting scientific experiments, this is most applicable, because the camera takes up minimal space and the quality of 4k video recording or 12Mp photo is quite high, you can also shoot slow-motion videos with a frequency of up to 240 frames per second.
By the end of the year, the newest bioprinter will appear in the Russian segment of the ISS, which for the first time in microgravity will be able to print mouse thyroid gland structures and human cartilage using formative technologies. The assembled construct must levitate in space. GoPro cameras with PIXAERO lenses will be installed on this bioprinter.
